Come on Fermanagh or Fantastic Fermanagh …..

Advocacy has broken out in the Lakeland county ahead of the Ulster Final showdown with the other orangemen - Armagh. Two songs, two you tube videos and all from a county with a pretty small population.

I prefer Come on Fermanagh, its more original than ripping off sweet home alabama, and putting in lame lyrics.

  2. Sam Says:

The -Fermanagh “CUM ON FERMANAGH 08 REMIX”- video is much better as it gives a feeling of the Irish culture and anyone from the county of Fermanagh in Ireland would obviously prefer it, as the accent of the singer and the hard hitting words is surely reminiscent of the hope and belief the residents of Fermanagh have towards their football teams success and of-course it would feel more relatively familiar as the accent is such a strong element. the CUM ON FERMANAGH video should be an Irish master peace for those who support FERMANAGH. I feel like the Fantastic Fermanagh video is really cheesy and does not match the sophistication and meaning of the CUM ON FERMANAGH video.

  3. Kyle Lyons Says:

‘Cum On Fermanagh’ 2 win this youtube video rivalry! ha-ha!
this video has gained great attention in the town where i live.

Come on Fermanagh to win this youtube video rivalry, haha!
this video has become really popular around where i live. :D

  6. Johnny Says:

I like fantastic fermanagh Its rocks. The Other song is poxy. It is badly produced and sounds terrible. At least the fantastic fermanagh song has a bit of effort put into it

  7. John Says:

    Why does it matter?
This kind of arguement would be better be directed to supporting the team and the county.
This is a money argument.Nothing more.
    Grow up.

  8. Paul Fermanagh Says:

I disagree the two songs rivalling each other is just a bit of healthy fun, and im sure both have contributed greatly to the Fermanagh Development fund.

I personally prefer Come on Fermanagh

  9. bill carney Says:

    Hello fermanagh- Absolutely NO CONTEST!!!!!!!!!

    fantastic Fermanagh all the way

  11. Sean Treacy Says:

not as good as Fantastic Fermanagh Lynard were rebels and good old southern boys just like Fermanagh

  12. James Says:

Come On Fermanagh Is definately much more original and seems to have a better pub or club feel to it, I will be in Manchester on the Final day But Im bringing my Come on Fermanagh Cd With me because I have found a pub owned by a Fermanagh Man In Manchester and Im gonna have everyone singing it.

  13. Jason Hegarty Says:

Come on Fermanagh feels more original as it has more characteristics of a dedicated supporter that actually knows the team players and the manager and also unlike Fantastic Farmanagh he has the Irish accent which is a really a strong element for supporting the team as its some one from Ireland supporting the team not some foreign American that only says fantastic Farmanagh all the way through.

  14. niffy Says:

anything that supports Fermanagh is fine by me but I personally prefer Fantastic Fermanagh!! Woohoo!! I expect everyone to be singing it aloud in Clones!! (and Croker!!)

  15. Gaz Says:

Come on Fermanagh is better, accept it!
5 people singing a cover song doesn’t really say much about how much they support the team, its what the singer is saying that most generally matters. :D

  16. Shane Happer Says:

    Come on Fermanagh rules!

  17. Shane Happer Says:

my uncle used to play for fermanagh
i think that both of the songs posted on here are great songs to support the team.

  18. jackie fegan Says:

fantastic fermanagh is well produced by talented people/ thother effort has a fake drum machine and a poxy keyboard
banjo sound and two awful singers / could say more

  19. james kelly Says:

one lovely county/two decent songs/ one great gaelic team/one big prize in sight/ lads forget about the bragging rights re who has or hasnt the best song / clearly one is for the younger folks /thats great / the other is for the older folks/thats great too/ everybody please wise up and get your green jersey on and beat the crap out of armagh on sunday and go together from today to whwerever the summer takes us… i hope that both songs sell trailerloads, as its for the supporters club and club eirne respectively.. fair play to all concerned… remember those words guys….FAIR PLAY
    James

  20. James Kelly Says:

oh sorry Guys I made a mistake the money isnt actually for the supporters club they give some money towards it. And if I was pushed I would go for COME ON FERMANAGH OH and I have just been informed that Come on Fermanagh was played in the Fort Lodge Disco in 2004 for all the teenie boppers so its the song for the young generation and they loved it and im sure it will be played there again all summer in 2008

  21. Garrisonrocks Says:

The Garrison remix of “Fantastic Fermanagh” is really going through the roof with 70, 000 hits. These guys are trying to get a YouTube hit with 100,000 hits by the final on Sunday. Apparently, it was only done once before by a Rap band in Miami last year and they used 36 computers. God bless Garrison innovativeness and come on Fermanagh

  22. O’Conall Street » Blog Archive » Dublin v Wexford Says:

[...] Clones underdogs to face the most formidable footballing force in Ulster but surely after all the YouTube videos, the battle of the songs, and the best build up in years, this could be Fermanagh’s [...]

  23. Sean Says:

the Fantastic Fermanagh people are using this program called ‘tube increaser’ to get their hits.

  24. sean south Says:

poor auld kevin- no sign of his photo anywhere- philip`s getting whatever crumbs of glory the y are getting with that song - its not that kevin is shy — its just that he`s on the dole !!!!!!!!!!

  25. Ken Says:

  26. Ken Says:

QUOTE: I have just been informed that Come on Fermanagh was played in the Fort Lodge Disco in 2004

For information it was played in many discos at the time and since but it’s greatest outing must have been 2004, when it was played in Croke park in front of 20,000 plus Fermanagh fans. It is of course to the tune of “The wearing of the green” which St Micks band quite nicely played beore the Ulster Final last Sunday. The rumours of St Micks band doing a version of “Sweet Home Alabama” are possibly false, so best learn the words for “Come on Fermanagh” for this Sunday at 3 PM when the game that Fermanagh win their first Anglo Celt in begins :)

  27. Armagh Orla Says:

Hard Luck Fermanagh fans, from an armagh fan point of view, im luvin the Fantastic Fermanagh song!! It’s Great!!!
