Belfast debates Climate Change
Posted on December 15th, 2008 No commentsSammy Wilson may be sceptical about man’s involvement in climate change but he did call for an informed debt on the topic. Now thanks to some leading lights in business and academia, he’s getting one.
Iain Stewart, the BBC’s earth and climate change, is coming to Belfast in January to join a one day conference on climate change here. He will also be delivering a public lecture in W5 on Monday January 19th entitled Earth – The Power of the Planet.
The Royal Irish Academy and Northern Ireland Environment Link have assembled an impressive line up including Chris Thorney, Prof John Mitchell, Prof Ric Williams, Prof Julian Orford, Prof Joanna Haigh and Garth Earls for the 20th January Conference. Lets hope many of our MLAS and senior civil servants will come along to participate in this important discussion.
Tickets for both events are available through Northern Ireland Environment Link.
