Who to believe in the Gaza propaganda war?
Posted on January 9th, 2009 No commentsThere is the mother of all propaganda wars taking place in the middle east between Palestinians and the Israeli state. Claim and counter-claim are being exchanged as bombs rain down on the innocent and the young.
It is a fascinating area of communications about which I blogged last weekend.
So who should you believe?
For what it’s worth I believe the UN and international organisations like the Red Cross.
When the UN says Israel has shelled Palestinians after evacuating them, I believe them.
When the Red Cross says Israel has delayed medical access to injured civilians, I believe them.
And when I read that:
The incoming Obama administration is prepared to abandon George Bush’s doctrine of isolating Hamas by establishing a channel to the Islamist organisation, sources close to the transition team say.
I think that is what ‘Change We Can Beleive In’ is.
